Just ran Ketarin - reveiwed the Office 2010 listing - did not notice where SP1 had been included - according to your comments on 06-30-11 it was updated for SP1 - any idea where it might be?

Also, Benners had posted coments about updating the OI itself - I would think this Ketarin program would be an excellent method/addon for the OI to download updates; could be a user option or addon to the OI itself; unless there is some kind of prohibition against including the program within the OI - do you know?

More - also noticed Ketarin did not download hotfixes for Office 2000 - why? I'm asking because I'm going to recommend Office 2000 be included in the new OI - (I'm assuming there are still many users of this version). Also, the Office Slipstreamer can update Office 2000 and Benners was listed as part of that project so I'm assuming he could merge Office Integrator/Slipstreamer into one 'new Office Integrator (I'm guessing sooner or later he will see this and add commenst).

I can only look when i get home but if you look in the target area you should see 2 entries for the office 2010 area for each of the 32 and 64 bit, so a total of 4 enties, 2 are the SPs and 2 are the email filter update. the SP i put into a language specific (en-us) folder since the SPs are not global updates.

Its a great idea to have it integrated, ketarin is open source so i don't think there is much problem in using it, the 2 issues are the time and feasibility to integrate it, 2nd issue is how to keep the database file up-to-date and publicly available.

At this point Office 2000 is not supported, either with the OI or am i going to to add it to the updates, mainly because not enough time and it is a legacy product that i don't think would have enough demand for. The main downloads are office 2003 & 2007, XP has a few downloads and going down and office 2010 is picking up, so i don't see enough need for the 2000 version, sorry.

Can't find either one.

The Office 2010 SP1 download is: OfficeSuite2010sp1-kb2460049-x64-fullfile-en-us.exe and OfficeSuite2010sp1-kb2460049-x86-fullfile-en-us.exe and as of 1400 today they are not listed.

Further, the folder structure when Ketarin is run does not include an ENU or SP folder under 2010.

What I have is: \2010 > \Office 2010\GLB\x64\Hotfixes and > \GLB\x86\Hotfixes - no ENU and/or SP

So, something is a bit amiss here.

Gotta agree with TwoJ there Chief. MS is already pulling the trigger on Office XP updates Here and 2000 is a bit of a ball ache to code for. Folks can always use mara's program for Office 2000. I will be having a look at ketarin and seeing if I have to knowledge to integrate some code. I also have code to download windows updates, seeing if I can jig it to only download Office.

I just checked and everything looks normal for office 2010, here is a screenshot i took that shows the office 2010 entries;

The name of the file should be: Ketarin_OfficeUpdatesDownloader_ENU_20110630.7z
also if you are extracting over the old one, make sure that you overwrite the files with the the ones from the package above, especially the jobs.db

I've got some ideas for integrating the ketarin or similar download capability but its very rudimentry at the moment, need a few more beers to get a better idea!

Just checked Ketarin > About: Version 1.6.0.434

Google search resulted in download: Ketarin-1.6.0.434.zip

Clicked on your link and downloaded Ketarin_OfficeUpdatesDownloader_ENU_20110630.7z which I extracted and overwrote previous files - this time the downloads included SP and other hotfixes released in June. Did check About and version still shows as 1.6.0.434 - so how do I or anyone get latest - as Google seems to have resulted in an invalid download?[color="Silver"]

benners - have no problem with excluding Office 2000 and 2002(XP) - (that means I can put those obsolete versions back in the back of the closet to gather dust) - would recommend comments be included in new OI to mention use of Office Slipstreamer as I suspect questions will be raised about why can't it be used, etc.

Question - why write new code to download Office updates - not possible to link to Ketarin and use what is found there?
