Hi Benners

Issue 1 ----------

Was just doing some updates and we've got another patch issue for the compatibility pack;
KB981715
KB982312

312 should replace 715 but MU says 715 is still needed.
Imagine the mess if Microsoft didn't standardize stuff! ;)

Issue 2 ----------

Corrected by Update

Issue 3 ----------

- benners: the issue below seems to exist just for the beta OI v1.2, not for the v1.1

There seems to be a glitch on the Office 2007 integration, there are 2 updates, kb979441 & kb979440, that have 2 msp's in it, infopath.msp & ipeditor.msp are in kb979441, it seems the integration routine is just copying 1 msp over, namely the infopath.msp. so in the update folder on the destination the ipeditor.msp is missing so MU says the update is still needed. kb979440 is the same but obviously with different msp's.

Issue 4 ----------

Same song, Excel viewer, KB982312 should replace KB981715, but MU says 715 is still needed.

Issue 5 ----------

Word viewer, KB2251437 should replace KB978558, but MU says KB978558 is still needed

I'm really not trying to keep you busy!
Thanks

PS - hows v1.2 release coming?

KB983503 (new one) June

Thanks for your constant vigilance regarding these problems. I started on v1.2 but got waylaid and haven't any time to continue :(

It doesn't help fix the above problem but I did run the Office Integrator for Office 2003 plus service packs plus hotpack dated 25 June 2010 on 03 July 2010 and had no error messages or problems.

Did successfully install Office 2003 with above listed updates on 05 July and, so far, it is working just fine. :p

you should check the MD5 hash of the hotpack to make sure it is the same as posted, its possible that the download has a corruption in it. personally i use hashtab.
if thats not it then i think its going to fall to benners

hope that helps
