Hi all

Does anyone have older versions of the Office Compatibility Pack floating around?

The current version (4) ~38mb is causing me some issues and I would like to try one of the earliest versions (1 or 2) ~27mb.

Sorry for the thread hijack, hope this being at least related doesn't get me in trouble! :)

Is that correct checksum of a file?

File: O12Conv_en-us_120122.7z
CRC-32: e64e216f
MD4: dc78a61489db381c375f33ff5e7e9fc6
MD5: 3d1ffdb76068434aae6825951b629bf5
SHA-1: 30832aa3ddc1c6ecce58c93835ba606e03eb9a1d

I downloaded the file twice, each time the same.

I have error:

translation:
"Can not find the source file (O12Conv.cab)
check if file exists and that you can access it"

2.

no additional updates

After installing Office Professional SP3 PL with updates without installing the Compatibility Pack (26.05.2012)
WU shows me more than missing patches included in Ketarin_OfficeUpdatesDownloader_en-us_20120415.7z:

After a manual install WU still shows these missing updates:

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner
- The checksums are correct
I can imagine you are getting that the updates are not being applied if you are installling the Polish version - the update packs are designed for the US english version only.
its very possible that the error on the compatibilty pack is the same issue - it is designed for US English.
I would suggest trying it with ideally in a US English OS with a US English version of Office and see if it works.
thanks

In your free time... Is there a chance you receive a guide on how to make Office Compatibility Pack for Polish (PLK) or other languages?

Hi dziubek

Sorry but no free time for now - if i had some i would like to work on the office integrator to fix the outstanding issues with the english before starting any other language. But to do it in another language is fairly easy. it is all in the 'Config 2' tab, under the section of 'Office viewers\Compatibility Pack integrator'. Just load the polish setup file for the compatibility pack (CP), get the latest service pack for it, then test it on a system to determine what other hotfixes are needed. i do all my testing on a virtual machine that i take a snapshot of it when it is completly updated with windows update but with no other software installed, then i install the CP and the service pack, then run it agaist microsoft updates to find out what updates are still needed. download these updates - load them into the Office integrator in the same place you loaded the service pack, and then retest on a clean machine (virtual machine is easy to revert back to a clean snapshot) and then test it to verify that all the updates have been properly applied.
Hope that gets you going.
